Mein Dortmund - Identität mal anders 2023! Medienworkshop 1 „Schreib- und Erzähl Workshop! 1“

In the workshop, young people are encouraged to express their own experiences, thoughts and feelings regarding their hometown of Dortmund in written and visual form. They reflect on their personal relationship with the city by looking at various aspects such as architecture, history, culture, people and special places.

Through the creative writing process and exchanges with other young people, participants can expand and deepen their understanding of their identity and homeland. They learn how to express their individual perspectives on Dortmund and at the same time develop their writing skills.

The two specialists with educational and artistic backgrounds support the young people in developing their writing styles and techniques. They provide feedback on the texts and help participants to discover and improve their creative expression.

At the end of the workshop, the young people have the opportunity to present their works to a broader public, be it in the form of a reading, an exhibition or a publication. This not only allows them to strengthen their own writing skills, but also to express their connection to their hometown of Dortmund and show other people how they see, describe and feel about their city.
