After “We Write Participation”… Comes “We Create Participation”!

The project is aimed at BIPoC parents from Dortmund and the surrounding area. It aims to create opportunities for acquiring digital skills, understanding the importance of digital education and upbringing, and comprehending one’s own role to engage proficiently in conscious media education.

In further steps, the focus will be on the parent-child relationship and establishing a sustainable role for parents as knowledge transmitters to facilitate low-threshold information flows within the community. Additionally, it aims to promote self-empowerment and engagement.

Key topics include: experiences of racism in the digital space, dealing with fake news, creating spaces for healing together, and creative self-help.

Digital consultation hours

As part of our project “DigitNow! - We create participation”, we cordially invite you to our digital consultation hours every Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom to explore the basics of digital tools together. We are at your side, be it introducing software or applications, using digital platforms or solving technical problems. No prior knowledge necessary – we make it simple and understandable!
